Ok so you probably all heard the big news already; that my big sister Kim is getting married!! I am so super excited for her and know that Daniel is one lucky guy! I am also looking forward to actually have a big brother for once....awwww....I know how sweet. Oh and Daniel you better not make me regret saying that....just kidding....So ya, Kim also asked me to be a bridesmaid, which I am very honoured and excited by. I cannot wait for July 19 and know that God will richly bless Kim and Dan and their life together.

Ok so finally I am actually sitting down and updating my blog, after many complaints that I am not being "current" enough. Just for all of your information I am still working at Bethany College as maintaince/custodian and I am still liking it, which I have attributed to the fact that I get along with who I work with....thanks Rhonda!

Quite a bit has happened in the last 4 months since I have updated: I am currently still living at home, I have the same job and have managed to keep my car running....ok so maybe nothing has changed. But wait! I did get a chance to meet Michael Buble in person ( & go to the concert) and go to Edmonton for some muchly anticipated shopping. So that counts right? Anyways March brings a busy month; there's two weddings, a Rascal Flatts concert and Easter; which I now realise takes up every single weekend, oh well look at the bright side, at least I will have something to post on my blog next time!

Ok, so I really don't have much to update my blog with; life is normal...or as normal as it can be. These past few weeks I have really been enjoying hanging with some friends from highschool; we all live within a short distance of each other and it's weird how only lately that we have decided to make an effort to see each other. I have also been attending College and Career at Ebenezer Church a couple of times and it has been really good. I like the fact that I can get out of my little "small town bubble" and meet nice, christian people.....and yes, the men have crossed my mind, but nothing has happened.....yet. Just kidding, anyways that's all I have to say right now, maybe if I do something exciting like....oh I don't know, maybe go skydiving I'll let you know, but until then have a good one!

Wow, I can't believe that it is the middle of October already and have been working at Bethany for over 2 weeks. I guess time flies when your having fun....or working all the time! Anyways, I do actually like my job and it's been good getting into a routine once again. I am also getting pretty pro at cleaning, so you better watch out next time you ask me to clean your toliets....wait why would I want to do that? Never mind, just know that I make a mean vaccummer too, so you better be nice! All kidding aside, I have also really enjoyed the Christian atmoshere where I work, I have been encouraged and uplifted by so many people. I am really fortunate to work in a place where Christ can be spoken of openly without critisism or mokery; a place where I can make money yes, but also grow in my relationship with Christ. So life is good, pretty much like always, but I am content none the less. So for now I am going to bask in the blessings God has given me and have a lot of fun doing it!!

STEPHANIE HAS FOUND A JOB!!!!!! Yup, it's official I will now be apart of Bethany College's custodial staff...ok so maybe it's more like a janitor but I thought it would sound better if I used more formal terminology. Anyways, I am actually quite happy about it and am looking forward to seeing my friends from there every single day;don't worry that's not the only reason I took the job, but it is definately a bonus! I think that God has been teaching me something through the whole job searching experience; that when certian things that you think should turn out don't, it's for a reason. God has a plan for our lives; a plan that only our best intertests in mind, how great is that love!!!

Okay, so it's been quite while since I've written on this blog, but it's not completely my fault I mean facebook shouldn't be so addicting!!! Boy,things have changed since the last time I've updated, I am now currently unemployed and looking for a new full-time job somewhere in the city. Don't worry I didn't get fired from the paddling pool, it just closed for the summer so I have to go out and do the thing I hate most....interviews!!!! I'm not complaining though, God is good to have given me work this far and I have to constantly be reminded that God will provide beyond what I can imagine. Right now I am actually trying to write up my resume, but got distracted at how I haven't updated my blog in awhile.... Anyways I thought I might post some pics from the summer ( that was way too short by the way) and reminise on the good times!! I trust that God will bring much more laughter and fun into my life as another fall season begins.

Wow! I cannot believe that I am actually 19 years old!!!! It just seems like yesterday that I was playing barbies or house without a care in the world...boy has that changed!!! Anyways, August 4thwas a special day where I had the chance to celebrate the 19 years that God has blessed me with...God is so good!!!

Speaking of celebrations....I had my own little surprise that day. Of course I had to work on my birthday so I was a little bummed, however when I arrived to work I was completely taken aback. The staff room had been decorated in balloons and streamers, just for my birthday!!! I had found out later that my co-workers had been planning this surprise for a while and they even brough my favorite cake in the whole world...McCains Deep and Delicous!!! After work I went out with two of my best friends, Brittani and Kate for a movie and then out to dessert at Denny's. I have to admitt that going for dessert at 1 a.m is pretty fun....and the fugde brownie that we had was absolutely amazing... being 19 never tasted better!!!

Well, hello once again!!!!! I have taken the time to write this blog in the cool comfort of my basement while the sun blazes at a 30 degrees outside. I'm not complaining about the heat because I love it, but sometimes it takes it's toll on you.... especially when you are outside for most of the day. And since talking about the beautiful weather I thought I might add some pictures of the place where I work outside all day long. Ahhh yes...the wonders of a paddling pool!! Note that I am not trying to advertise the pool in any way, I just thought others may want to know what it looks like to have pretty much the sweetest job ever :) The rainbow chair at the upper left hand corner is probably my favorite place...a nice place to sit in the sun and tan, but yet also a place to relax in the shade. And of course I cannot forget to add the picture of the glimmering blue water that just invites you to take a dip....and I did the vaccumming job....looks pretty clean eh? Hope you all have a fantasitc summer....even though you don't have this sweet job!!

Hey all you out there, I'm so glad that summer has finally arrived!!! Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather and decided to take our sea-doo out for the first time this year. We only went to Martin's Lake, which is about 30 minutes from where we live so we were able to go up for just the day. It was lots of fun, especially watching Miranda fall off the tube 4 times!!! I also enjoyed the fact that each and everyone of us got sunburn, so bring out the Aloe Vera gel!!! Oh well that's what you get for spending a day in the sun. Here are some pictures of our adventures at the lake. I also started my job in Osler this week. Right now I'm just getting the pool ready by painting and stuff until it's ready to be opened. Which will hopefully be sometime next week, I don't think I want to be scrapping paint off a building for the next 2 months!! Anyways, life is good, and I'm looking forward to a summer of fun and relaxation. It's weird because just having the sun shine everyday and it being nice enough not to wear a jacket can do a lot for your mood. I wake up each morning feeling happy that God has blessed me with another sunrise so that I can share in the beautiful wonders of summer of Saskatchewan!!

Hey, once again I have to apologize for the delayed and sparse updates on my blog. I figured it was only fair that my blog get some new updates too, just for those who haven't yet discovered the joys of facebook. Anyways I have recently been hired for the summer job that I have been waiting for. I just handed in my two weeks notice today, and I have to admit I was nervous about how my bosses would act, but fortunately they took it very well and it seems that I will be quiting on good terms, which is exactly what I wanted! So, I am very much looking forward to a summer outside, enjoying the awesome weather that we better have! Lately life's kind of been in a slump, just doing the same thing everyday...going to work, chilling at home and then going to bed. I'm ready to have a little more excitiment in my life; not that life before was more adventerous or anything it's just I'm ready to embrace life with a little more meaning, ya know what I mean? I need to understand that each day is a gift from God and that I need to allow Him to be apart of it. That's when my life will become more exciting, when I am willing to give up myself to Christ, because each day with Him is a new adventure!

Sorry guys, it's been such a long time since I have updated this blog. My sister says that she looks on it everyday and it's still the same old stuff. Well Kim, this is to you and now I'm putting a new post on so you can quit bugging me about it.
Well I have offically graduated from my first year of Bible College!!!What an achievement.... I even have the ExCiTe certificate to prove it! Now I have to spread my wings into the real word....a world that is far too different then the bubble I am used too and, altough it is good to live at home, I miss the comforts of living in dorm and talking to my friends whenever I feel like it, including my wonderful unit (picture above). However hard it may seem, I am surving but yet still trying to figure out the next chapter of my life. At the time being I am working at Tim Hortons....it's odd really, because I find myself working at the very place that I refused to work at because of their hideous uniforms ( sorry to anyone who works there, don't take it personally). So I guess in a way I had to swallow my own pride and hindrance to the uniforms and do what some like to call, " suck it up". It's actually not that horrible, and I am grateful that I do have a job at the moment and that I will get a big, fat paycheque in a week or so. Shopping here I come!!!! Anyways there's not much else to update on, I'm at a point right now where I just need to be thankful for where I am and trust that God will show me what he wants me to do next. So next time you stop at Tim Hortons make sure you give an little extra smile to those people serving you coffee and wearing uniforms, you never know if you'll end up there someday too!!!

Spanish Culture and Donuts Do Go Together

Hey, it's been another long while since I have updated this blog, but nothing exciting has really been happening in my life right now. Although the other day I finally go my mission's trip pictures from the beginning of Janurary...yes the same mission trip that I talked about on my very first blog. Anyways I thought I might post a few pictures so you can finally have some visual aids to go along with my running commentary. Don't worry I'm not going to bore you by describing my awesome experience one again...I'll let the pictures do most of the explaining. The picture in the above left corner is of my entire team consisting of my amazing leaders Rick, Sylvia and Dana. That's me in the bottom right hand corner... the reason I have my parka on is because the restaruant's heater broke...in the worst cold wave of the winter so it was freezing. We were going to eat there but the cooks actually ended up bringing the food to their church so that we could still have the cultural experience of eating Ethiopian food. It's not as bad as a thought it would be but it's definately something that I wouldn't eat on a regular basis. Now the next picture is something to eat that I can handle....me and my friend Sarah are eating our wonderful donuts and the spanish church that we visited...wow...they serve some dang good food! The food isn't the only great thing about the spanish church, but it is their hospitality and kindness that really lead me to love these people!! They also even let some of my teammates join their worhsip team even though they didn't know a bit of Spanish...well actually that is not true because there was one girl on our team who did know Spanish. She's from Paragua and lived there for quite a few years and obviously she fit in quite well. Actually a lot of the people at the church knew English as well so it's not like we couldn't communicate at all. The bottom picture is some of the girls from my team...and I can't remember if a Spanish girl took the picture or not because they really like to take pictures. So...okay maybe I did do the running commentary thing, but there is still so many things that happened that I would never be able to put down without boring you to death. It's weird how God is using something that was 3 months ago to still teach me things and remind me of what I learned through the people that I met. God does things that like and I am really grateful that He does, because how else would we learn from our mistakes if He didn't. Anyways I should really go and make some coffee if I'm going to be up until I leave for Edmonton tomorrow morning ...so have a good one!!

LIVING LIKE NOAH....OR NOT

Hey all you fellow people of the world, how is life treating you? Sorry I haven't updated my blog in awhile but everytime I get around to it it's like a decade after the previous one, but oh well it's not like I can sit at my computer twenty-four seven and type my every move. Life has been good although my dormroom has decided to become the setting for the next Noah's ark. Yes it has begun to leak water through the roof, light ficture and walls. So me and my roomate are temporarily rained out and we have taken refuge in the comforting room of our friends. Thanks to them we have been saved from the mighty and fierce storm waters in our room and from getting terribly drenched. Anyways on Monday we are supposed to met with our resident dean and talk about our situation and what we are going to do about it.
Last week was also my grandma's eightieth birthday and my mom's extended family came our to celebrate. It was good to see everyone their...including my two new baby cousins!! Us cousins also did a skit for grandma, which was really fun....we looked ridiculous too(you can see it for yourself in the above picture). Actually that wasn't all of the cousins, it was proabably about half of them...and yes you guessed it, I come from a very large family. But I love it...besides who wouldn't want all of those cousins to play with when you were a kid.

So anyways I will say farewell for now and hope that you have the most amazing week of your life....well at least try.

Chocolates and Chick Flicks

Hey all you fellow people, how was your valentines day? Did you all end up doing something with a special someone?? While my valentines was pretty good; Some friends and I had a movie night at my place...what good times watching "Beauty and the Beast" while eating chocolate. I've decided that every valentines needs to consist of a good chick flick and chocolates, especially for us singles!! Well maybe I shouldn't say that I'm completely single...as you can see in the picture that my man took me out for a nice date, we went to the school play and then afterward we enjoyed a lovely dessert of chocolate cake...half of which ended up all over him, but hey a woman likes a man who can be himself...Anyways I wish that really was true, but for real the little guy in the picture is a boy that I babysit for, he is the cutest thing ever and I love is when he calls me auntie Steph!!!

Life's been good though, just doing my college thing and doing homework and hanging out...not necessarily in that order!! I'm still wondering what I'm supposed to do in the summer and if I should go to hairdressing school in the fall, the list goes on and on. Ahhh, decisions, decisions...if only God would tell me exactly what I should be doing; then again I might decide to quit if I knew all the misadventures I'd have to endure to get there. Oh well, I'll survive like usual....although it wouldn't hurt for God to give me a little

Zellers and Shopping Carts

Hey sorry that its been a while since I've updated this thing, but life has been busy. Not too busy but whenever it seems that I have a free moment to blog I forget about it or something else comes up.

This past weekend was Youth Advance, and a whole bunch of highschool kids came to Bethany for the weekend. It was really good, but after awhile I started to feel a little clausterphobic. Anyways my space is back now and I can finally actually move around freely in my room and everywhere else!!!! Other then the invasion of my privacy it was a good weekend...I especially enjoyed the music which was absolutely awesome thanks to our very own Bethany chapel band!

Enough about that, I thought that since I have really nothing especially exciting to report about I thought I might share an embarrassing story. This seems weird to me but I thought that others may find some enjoyment in my mishaps and maybe get a laugh or two out of it. So here it goes....it all started when some of my friends from Bethany and I decided to go shopping for the day in the city. After an afternoon of shopping we ended up going to Zellers for the last stop of the day. It just so happened that I was voted to push our cart around the store and which caused me some difficulty since it was very hard to manuver this gigantic cart around people...As you can probably guess as I was walking/pushing my way past a lady when my cart accidentlly go caught on rack of movie and to my dismay they all came tumbling to the floor! It also just so happened that some employees from Zellers where near by and they all saw it happen. My friends just stood there in unbelieve while I burst out in laughter!! It was quite the experience, a little embarrassing, but it was really funny...the clerks even offered to clean it up for me!!! Anyways I hope this story can add some joy to your day while I try to put my pride back together.....until next time, have a good one!!

Pro Blogger....NOT!!

Hey all yall!! How's life been treating you? My life right now has been pretty hum-drum but oh well there's always something to spice up life a little bit...like going on a missions trip. I just came back from a missions trip Saskatoon and although it doesn't seem like a place were an ordinary missionary would go, it is a place in desparate need of them. God really opened my eyes to the world of refugees and the way in which they still struggle once they come to Canada. I also realized that God works in weird and amazing ways; for instance God used the biggest storm of the last 50 years for me to learn an important lesson;that when things do not work out perfectly or the way that you planned them He still provides opportunities to serve Him and be an example of His love. It's still been a couple of weeks since that trip and God is still teaching me things as I reflect on my experince.
Anyways, the reason I started this blog was at the influence of my sister, and her nagging that I should post my exciting, yet obsurd life on the internet for the world to see. Okay maybe not the world, but a few people at least...or so I hope. Well I hope that you can get something out of my blog... even if it is only to laugh at my mishaps or weird happenings in my life. So I leave you hopes that you will join me in sharing this crazy, wacky life with me!!!
